I love a good thrift store. I learned years ago that I needed to not spend so much money on brand new items. I learned the hard way, but it was worth the lesson. Thrift stores are like gold and are full of treasures bought at a low cost. You can’t really beat that.
I think thrift stores in America prepared me for the life I am living now. I now live on an island in the South Pacific with no store where you can buy new clothing. I really am not lying.
There are outside sales in tents on Saturdays. There is a really nice store that sells custom clothing but one skirt is $300! Crazy right? So we are forced to always buying second hand. I miss regular stores sometimes and malls.
However, we do what we must and shop on the side of the road. Thrift stores in the United States helped me prepare for that. I learn to appreciate the gold mines that mean that much more when you are not paying full price. They mean more when you find things that just aren’t accessible to you by any other means.
This resource actually tells you how you can MAKE money by SHOPPING. Sounds counter-intuitive; I know. Check out exactly how to do it.
