Are you just starting out with homeschool and trying to figure out the secret to fitting it all in without doing school all day?
There are so many wonderful riches to share with our kids, you might find yourself looking back at the end of the year and asking, “How did we miss out on that?”
Introducing children to beautiful art, meaningful hymns, delightful poetry, and simple Scripture memory can sometimes get overlooked in the busy-ness of it all.
Thoughtfully designed, Gathering Place Mats are the perfect way to fill in the blank spaces in your homeschool.
These beautiful place mats give you kids the opportunity to discover art, poetry, Scripture, and more while they are gathered around the breakfast (or dinner) table.
Created with Charlotte Mason and Classical approaches in mind, these place mats are so much better than the back of the cereal boxes your kids might be reading! And they gently introduce kids to all these riches without adding time commitment to your day.
Each set of place mats is designed to create four mats, for multiple kids or for variety throughout the month. The front of each place mat is the same, with the backs including a different piece of art and more fun. Instructions for printing and laminating are included in the set. All you do is print them, laminate them, and lay them out for a simple feast.
In each month’s set you will find:
- a hymn
- poems
- art & art study
- Scripture
- Catechism
- memory work
- brain teasers
- math
- geography
- and something for the littles (too)
Note: If you are following Ambleside Online’s schedule, you will find the hymn and artist to match the monthly and term schedules. Scroll down to get your free placemats!
