Located in the eastern parts of Asia, China is the largest country in Asia and the fourth largest country in the world. It also a rich history that is very fascinating to learn about. Learning about China is so much fun with these resources, activities and free printables.
China is a really interesting and unique country to study and there are so many activities that you can do as part of a study of China. Here is a great list of fun hands-on activities as well as free printables that can be used as part of your study of China
Fun Hands-On Activities
Learn about the Cherry Blossoms that welcome in spring each year in Gucun Park in Shanghai while creating your own Cherry Blossom Fans.
Often associated with festivals, Paper Lanterns are common in China. Children will love making their own Paper Lanterns from brightly colored paper or they could use red paper and draw Chinese characters or designs on them.
In Ancient China, bamboo slips were used before paper was invented. These slips were then made into scrolls. Children will enjoy making their own Chinese Bamboo Scrolls while learning more about the Chinese language and the characters they use.
Also, don’t be afraid to try some Chinese dishes or visit a Chinese restaurant. Not only can it be fun, you may find a tasty new dish to add to your menu. Cooking with children can also be a great learning experience for them as well.

The Great Wall of China is the longest man-made structure in the world. Built as a line of defence, this world heritage listed site is a well-known symbol of China.
