Geography has always been one of my daughter’s favorite subjects. I have endlessly searched for a Word Geography Curriculum for High School that would be a good fit. Well, I found it….and published by Bright Ideas Press, publishers of our favorite – Mystery of History!
North Star Geograhy is a year-long course for junior and high school students. Written from a distinctly Christian perspective, North Star Geography is a full high school credit that covers:
- Geography Skills – such as reading maps and navigation
- Physical Geography – the lithosphere, hydrosphere, atmosphere, and biosphere
- Human Geography – social structures, culture and heritage, interacting with the environment
This curriculum includes:
- Hands-on activities and projects
- Map work, memorization, and geographic research questions (with answers!)
- Quizzes, a final exam, answer keys, and a grading rubric
- Reproducible outline and reference maps, note-taking pages, and graphic organizers
