Monthly Meal Plans for December 2019 {Downloadable & Clickable Links}

Here we are at the last month of the year! It is crazy to think this year is almost over and even more crazy that this decade is coming to an end! My kids are so ready for Christmas this year. Probably because as we are traveling again, we told them they could use their Christmas money for a big experience during our travels.

But, in the meantime, they still want to eat, so I have created our monthly meal plans. We personally use a combination of both meal plans so that we can pick and choose what works best for us and our timeframe that day. It really works out well for us and our on-the-go lifestyle.

 

People ask us all the time if our kids eat all the meals we prepare and the truth is – no. We have a sensitive eater and one with allergies, so not everything fits their tastebuds or needs. However, we do try as hard as we can to prepare only one meal for the family. That being said, if they don’t like the meal or choose not to eat it, they are free to fix their own food. And for that, we keep some of their favorites on-hand to eat in a pinch.

One thing they can all agree on is crescent rolls. Even my pickiest eater loves them. So when we find a good deal on them (or make our own), we use them every way we can. Check out this post that gives you recipes for breakfast, appetizers, snacks, meals and even dessert!

Sweet Treats & Comfort Foods

With Christmas just around the corner, I imagine you have sweets and treats on your mind. My family is known for finding and bringing new sweets and treats to our gatherings. And they’re always delicious! So of course, I had to set out on a quest to find some of my own. One of our family’s favorites is cereal treats. It seems like you just can’t make a bad one. Okay…you probably can, but it’s pretty hard to mess them up. Check out these delicious recipes if you need some ideas! 

As the weather cools down this winter, you can curl up in front of the fire for a night of movies and relaxation with your family. And what goes better with the warmth of the fire than a delicious soup. These amazing recipes will take you all around the world with their flavors! These are perfect for a nice, crisp winter night.

Choose from Two Meal Plans

The regular meal plan includes slow cooker meals on Sundays and Wednesdays, for a break in the kitchen or those busy days. There are a variety of soups to get you through those chilly nights as we welcome in some seasonal salads to break it up just a bit.

There is a variety of meats (fish, chicken, beef, pork) as well as soups and salads (on both plans) to keep the whole family happy. My hope each month is that you will find some new favorites to add to your own must-have rotation.

Or choose the Instant Pot Meal Plan. On this plan, I have included some delicious winter and festive meals with a variety of meats (fish, chicken, pork, beef), plus a few salads. Plus, the suggestions for breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and desserts at the bottom are all Instant Pot recipes!

As always, feel free to move any of the recipes around as needed to fit your family’s schedule. However, you can combine the two for more variety.
