Hello January!

January is bursting with newness! It’s so refreshing to get back into a good routine or add a new one. While I’m not much for New Year’s resolutions, I am all for trying new activities, learning something new, and doing whatever it takes to perk up a cold day with active learning. Having quality conversations over a hot meal or while baking is a great way to find out what your kids are interested in. Then spice up their learning by incorporating famous people born in January. Use the Celebrate Famous People January calendar and have fun learning about just a few of the people born in January.

31-Day Calendar Helps You Celebrate Famous People Born In January

Finding ways to stay connected with your tweens and teens, maybe a challenge, but I’ve found that if they are curious learners they really love learning about famous people. They even like celebrating quirky holidays – like Bobblehead Day.

If your kids like that kind of learning too, or if you are wanting a go-to list of interesting additions to keep on hand to spice up learning or help answer questions, you need the Hello January Calendar of Famous People and Fun Activities. With the January calendar download, you can celebrate the birthdays of famous people with videos, writing prompts, and fun activities. You will even get to explore virtual museums and take virtual tours.

Download the January calendar PDF at the end of this post and have fun learning about these famous people this month:

  • J. R. R. Tolkien
  • Isaac Newton
  • Joan of Arc
  • Stephen Hawking
  • Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge
  • Charles Ingalls & Mary Ingalls
  • Alexander Hamilton
  • Jack London
  • Benedict Arnold
  • Mark Antony
  • Martin Luther King Jr.
  • Benjamin Franklin
  • James Earl Jones
  • Plus 17 more!

When you use the January calendar, your kids will have fun celebrating Bobblehead Day, Shortbread Day, Argyle Day, and even Give Someone A Compliment Day.

Whether you are studying ancient Rome or modern history (or something in between) there is at least one person you can find in this month’s birthday list that will inspire your kids to learn just a bit more about something that piques their historical curiosity. Music & literature are covered too with reading suggestions and resources to get the most out of the day’s activity.

New Beginnings & New Routines in January

If your family is wanting to earn class credit with an exercise program they can do at home, then January is the perfect time to add it in. Staying healthy and active is always important and can often be hard in the winter months.

Are you wanting to get out and explore nature? The winter months can be a beautiful time to take nature walks and slow down to really look at what happens in winter. Give a winter nature walk a boost with a Winter scripture-inspired photo scavenger hunt. Choose a topic and corresponding verse and then set out on a nature walk to take photos that capture the theme in a creative manner.

No matter how you choose to learn this month, enjoy every minute of spending time learning together and having fun.

Here is your January Calendar of Famous People & Fun Activities.

Enjoy celebrating the birthdays of famous folks and having fun with quirky holidays all month long.
