The Regency Era (1811-1820) in England is marked by the reign of  King George III being handed to his son, the Prince of Wales. Due to George III’s poor health, the Prince Regent, as George the IV is called until he takes the throne after the death of his father, ruled England in what is known as the Regency Era.
