Our children love writing. They are both working on writing “novels” of some sort. They tend to not want to follow a ton of guidelines though, so writing prompts have always been put to a really good use in our homeschool. Writing prompts are a great way to inspire creativity and be a good springboard for children to use their imaginations. You can find a lot of free writing prompts online, and we recently created a couple of sets of free monthly writing prompts with illustration areas that are themed that kids love.
Creative writing prompts can help your children become better writers.
If you would prefer a calendar of writing prompts for each school day of the week, you can print out one calendar page and get a snapshot of a fun writing prompt for each day of the week for an entire month (M-F).
