Wonders of the Ancient and Medieval World Notebooking

Do your students love history? I’ve always been fascinated with stories of faraway places from long ago. How incredible it would be to step foot in Hagia Sophia or gaze up at the pyramids of Giza!

For most of us, a vacation to see the wonders of the world will likely not happen. Thankfully, with the resources available in print and online today, kids can “visit” these places as often as they like!

Wonders of the Ancient & Medieval World Notebooking Research Journal

Lists of the “wonders of the world” have circulated for centuries. This notebooking unit combines the wonders featured in the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and Seven Wonders of the Medieval World lists into one notebooking research journal.

Students can explore 14 locations and record where each wonder is located, who built it, if it is still standing, why it was built, and other interesting facts they learn along the way.

Give them a chance to explore the:

  • Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa
  • Colosseum
  • Colossus of Rhodes
  • Great Pyramid of Egypt
  • Great Wall of China
  • Hagia Sophia
  • Hanging Gardens of Babylon
  • Leaning Tower of Pisa
  • Lighthouse of Alexandria
  • Lost Porcelain Pagoda
  • Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
  • Statue of Zeus at Olympia
  • Stonehenge
  • Temple of Artemis at Ephesus

For added fun, encourage them to record the date each was built and then arrange their notebooks chronologically!

Grab this FREE Wonders of the Ancient & Medieval World Notebooking Research Journal and start your kids on an adventure through history.
