Understanding ancient history is critical to understanding our modern day, but the changes in geography can make it hard for students to visualize and wrap their heads around. Help them learn about and map 50 historic locations with this FREE Places of  Ancient Greece Notebooking & Research unit.

In addition to the changing geography and political boundaries, another challenge to understanding ancient history is keeping all of the place names straight. This FREE Places of Ancient Greece Notebooking & Research unit helps students learn the “what” and the “where” of 50 key locations in ancient Greece by asking them to record the following information about each one:

  • What type of place was it (city, region, mountain, etc.)?
  • What country is it located in today?
  • Have the ancient ruins been excavated?
  • What significant ancient events took place there?

It also also gives them a place to draw or paste a map showing each place’s location.

Notebooking is a great way to get your students engaged in independent study and help them retain what they learn.
