Some were made out of wood; others were made out of reeds. Some were plain; others were highly decorated. Some were built in hot, humid climates, and others were built to withstand subzero temperatures. In this unit, students will learn about the:

  • pubelo (Pueblo)
  • Tudor (English)
  • Viking longhouse (Viking) 
  • yurt (Mongol) 

They will: 

  • read about the people and their homes
  • practice drawing either half or all of a picture of each home on a grid
  • take a quick review quiz at the end if they like
