I mentioned in our post about the FREE farm themed writing prompts for beginning writers that I had originally wanted to create these for my elementary aged daughter. She loves writing prompts.

Today in our homeschool writing lesson it told her to write a paragraph about something specific and she totally disregarded that and decided to write about something SHE wanted to write about. She enjoys prompts, but not ones that tell her what to write for the entire story. I explained that sometimes in life we just have to follow the rules!

Kids are normally enthralled with farm life (I suppose unless you live it everyday!) and there are so many learning opportunities when it comes to farm life, chores, and animals. Learning about farm animals is fun, especially with preschoolers, but even elementary aged children enjoy it.

This creative writing prompt packet includes a new writing prompt for each school day of the week (M-F) which will cover a typical month. You can find some blank pages in the back as well. Everything is farm themed and the illustrations that can be colored are items like tractors, barns, and farm animals. Perfect for elementary aged students.
