This fun FREE Desert Animals Facts Coloring and Copywork unit introduces kids to five different animals that live in the desert. They will learn about the:

  • cactus wren
  • camel
  • desert tortoise
  • Gila monster
  • jackrabbit

There is a page of text that introduces each animal that works great for reading aloud. Next, students can trace facts from the reading in one of three handwriting styles or copy the facts onto lined paper. Finally, they can color a picture of the animal in a desert setting.

This no-prep activity is a simple, fun way kids can learn about science and sharpen their handwriting skills at the same time.
