Here’s a fun way you can incorporate handwriting with your history and learn about ten key battles of the American Revolution. This FREE Battles of the American Revolution Copywork combines print handwriting practice and early American history.

Help your kids learn more about ten key battles of the American Revolution and work in some handwriting practice at the same time with this FREE Battles of the American Revolution Copywork. 

A few paragraphs introduce each of the battles and give kids the big picture of what took place and why the battle was important. Following each introduction is a key vocabulary word and definition that students can copy.

Next is a list of facts that students can copy onto the lined pages that follow. Facts include information such as: 

  • date(s) of the battle
  • location of the battle
  • the American leader(s)
  • the British or opposing leader(s)
  • who was victorious
  • who lost the battle
  • other noteworthy events

An additional lined page is also included for each battle so students can record other information about the battles that they learn. This 52-page unit is a great way to introduce your students to the:
