We love our geography studies in our homeschool. This year we focused on learning facts about the 50 States. I cannot tell you how often I had to Google a state’s abbreviation and I kept thinking it would be nice to have some 50 states cheat sheets handy.

50 States Cheat Sheets

I have come across many adults who have no idea where a particular state is located on the map. While my kids have not traveled all over the United States, they are familiar with a map of the U.S. and know where the states are located.

When my youngest was only four years old I taught her where each state was – before she could even read. Children are like sponges and they have the ability to memorize facts about the 50 States of America much better than adults do.

I still remember the alphabetical state song I learned in elementary in 1985. I often have to sing it to myself to figure out the order of the states to see what comes next in our study of the United States.

This 50 states cheat sheet printable pack is a simple, no-fluff, black and white pack of geography cheat sheets. We chose black and white to save on printer ink. I recommend printing each page in the pack and laminating it for easy access during your United States history or U.S. geography studies.

This printable pack contains:

  • An alphabetical listing of each state
  • Capitals
  • Regions
  • Time Zones
  • Abbreviations
