I honestly don’t remember ever doing any experiments when I was in elementary school or high school. I am not really sure why that is. I just remember a whole lot of boring. Thankfully, our homeschool science courses don’t have to be boring at all. We can do as many hands-on science experiments for kids as we want.

10+ Hands-On Experiments for Kids

The best ways for kids to learn is by doing. That is the way it is for my son anyway. He is NOT a worksheet type of kid. He will do them of course but he much rather gets down and dirty. Working with his hands really helps him retain the information he learns.

I am all about it! He struggled so much in a traditional school as a young learner, now he is thriving – well, he is progressing. It is hard to keep his attention or to get him motivated, but with hands-on activities, he can get through our homeschool day fine.

This list of awesome hands-on science experiments will help your children learn through trial and error and get them thinking of why and how the results of the experiments occur.

I find that my children get super excited when they do experiments outside. How many times to kids get to actually do some possibly destructive things without getting in trouble? Hardly ever! Let your kids be kids, yet explore science with these hands-on science experiments.
