In addition to place names changing, political boundaries have changed drastically, too. This FREE Places of Ancient Rome Notebooking & Research unit helps students learn the “what” and the “where” of 50 key locations in ancient Rome by asking them to record the following information about each one:

  • What type of place was it (city, region, mountain, etc.)?
  • What country is it located in today?
  • Have the ancient ruins been excavated?
  • What significant ancient events took place there?

It also also gives them a place to draw or paste a map showing each place’s location.

If you want to get your kids engaged in independent study and help them retain what they learn, notebooking is an excellent tool!
