Grammar, you cannot escape learning it. Sadly, with the technology we have nowadays and the slang and acronyms used for everything, children (and adults alike!) are exhibiting very poor grammar.

I have always been a stickler for proper grammar usage. Scrolling through social media makes me crazy, so many run-on sentences and missing punctuation! I know that’s just the way of the world, but if you are like me you want your children to sound educated, to be able to write properly, and use correct punctuation and basic sentence mechanics.

There is a free program for students to use that helps them catch up on their grammar skills and master the basics.

These free grammar printables focus on how words combine to form sentences. They will learn things like:

  • parts of speech
  • parts of a sentence
  • types of sentences
  • various sentence analysis topics
  • and more

Parts of this program are a bit more geared to middle school students who need the extra grammar help but there are several sections that are suitable for 4th-6th graders.
