This year we were lucky enough to travel to the great state of Pennsylvania. It was only a week-long stay, but we made the most of our time before had to turn back West due to the hurricanes approaching the East Coast and threat of winter looming ahead. However, we were able to travel to Pittsburgh one day and do a little sight-seeing, as well as drive through the mountain to the other side of Pittsburgh in the The Fort Pitt Tunnel. It carries Interstate 376, U.S. Route 22, US 30, and US 19 Truck between Downtown Pittsburgh and the West End neighborhood in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania – and our kids absolutely loved it!
Even though we didn’t get to stay in the state as long as we would’ve liked, we did get to see the beautiful countryside. We hope to return when we can stay longer and even get over to Philadelphia to see some history! Since we plan to return, we love learning and reading about places we want to visit in the future. However, if you’ve never been there, you can still learn about Pennsylvania with these great resources I have gathered for you all in one convenient place. Each state has a history, fun facts and wonderful sites to see, so get exploring! Over the next year, I will be sharing resources – printables, travel destinations and food favorites – from each state.
