I have only been to Nebraska a handful of times, but never just to tour and look around. Mostly we were passing through on our way somewhere or coming back from somewhere. However, I have family and friends there and we would love to take the kids there one day. There are so many neat and fascinating places to see and visit, not to mention the state has a rich history.

However, when we visited Wyoming, we were close enough to take a day trip in to Scotts Bluff National Park, just inside Nebraska. Our two children at the time, were very young so we didn’t do any hiking, but we did drive to the summit and the view was absolutely breathtaking. It was indescribable and I can’t wait to take my kids back now that we have 5 who are older and can enjoy the view with us.

While we would love to visit one day, it will have to be in the Spring or Summer, as those Nebraska winters can be treacherous. Can’t travel? Learn more about the state of Nebraska with these great resources. Each state has a history, fun facts and wonderful sites to see. Over the next year, I will be sharing resources – printables, travel destinations and food favorites – from each state.
