If you are studying world geography in your homeschool, you will most likely want to break your studies down by continent. There are 7 continents in our world, and there is so much information to be learned on each continent. Some homeschoolers will even focus on one continent a year for study. I’ve found tons of FREE Worksheets on the Seven Continents for you to enjoy.
When my children are younger we just like to focus on learning the 7 continents as a whole. I like to give them a light unit study on each continent. This usually involves memorizing the name of the continent, where it is located on a map and a globe and important facts about each one. We study about the people groups of that continent, the culture, food, animals and some fun geographic locations to remember. This is a good introduction and will help prepare them for deeper geography studies in the upper grades.
Worksheets and printables are a great way to introduce new concepts. I like to gather up what I need and put them into folders to create my own unit studies. This works well when studying the seven continents. I have gathered up lots of freebies for you, broken down by continent.
