My husband and I attended college in Southwest Missouri, so we are quite familiar with the state and many of the sites. We lived in Joplin for throughout college and a year following his graduation (he had a 5 year degree). When we moved to Indiana, we drove from St. Louis through the entire state all the way to Oklahoma – every trip.
There are so many charming little towns in Missouri, which are a good mix among the larger cities and tourist attractions in St. Louis, Kansas City and Branson. The state has so much more to offer than even we saw while living there. Maybe we will be able to “tour” the state as we travel.
Can’t travel? Learn more about the state of Missouri with these great resources. Each state has a history, fun facts and wonderful sites to see. Over the next year, I will be sharing resources – printables, travel destinations and food favorites – from each state.
