Having lived in Southern Indiana for the past 4 years, we frequently visited Kentucky. Mostly we traveled to Louisville, when we wanted a “big city” experience or just for a night out. Now that we travel full-time, we are looking forward to visiting Lexington later this month, which is a part of the state we haven’t seen before.
The parts of Kentucky we saw, had a lot of horse farms because of the Kentucky Derby. The farms (and horses) were beautiful. Although we didn’t do much while we were in Kentucky, we did find several fun areas and we loved driving around looking at the old buildings. This state is much older than where I grew up, so the history is so fascinating to me. Learn more about the state of Kentucky with these great resources. Each state has a history, fun facts and wonderful sites to see. Over the next year, I will be sharing resources – printables, travel destinations and food favorites – from each state.
