Students love unit studies for the way that they are multi-dimensional. For instance, if you choose to study chickens, you would probably research farm-raised vs. factory-raised, habits of chickens, anatomy and physiology, and types of chicken breeds. Then you might find recipes for cooking chicken, some chapter books, Bible verses, and even some poems or songs on chickens. If you really want to make things fancy, you might add all this information to mini-books and glue them into a lapbook!

But what if you can’t find a unit study on a desired topic? Could you make your own? Yes, a resounding yes! It’s all spelled out for you and there are free printables to help you map your ideas out!
