In this guided drawing activity, a short paragraph is given on cirrus, cumulus, stratus, altocumulus, altostratus, cirrocumulus, cirrostratus, cumulonimbus, nimbostratus, and stratocumulus clouds.
Each paragraph is followed by a picture of the cloud with a grid overlay. Then the student is given two additional grids for their own drawing projects. One includes half of the cloud and requires them to draw the rest. The second grid gives them space to draw the entire cloud.
At the end of the unit are review questions about the ten types of clouds studied. It’s a fun way to combine science and art!
