My kids love writing, but if I am being honest, sometimes it is hard to think up writing prompts. For teenagers, it is even harder as their knowledge base grows and they need to be challenged. So, why not try combining history or science topics with writing prompts. This way, the teen is practicing writing skills while doing research and learning other subjects. Random writing prompts are exciting and bring out the imagination, however writing prompts about subjects in history can really stretch your teenager’s abilities. In studying a time period alone, they would not be able to critical think about what was going on with the people, how they could have felt or reacted to events around them. Your teenagers can take their knowledge of history to another level, a step further, with these free writing prompts from history.
