O. Henry is a pseudonym from William Sydney Porter, an American short-story writer. His works were mostly about the common lives of ordinary people – most of which lived in New York City. He was known for his short stories that often had endings that surprised the readers.

Mark Twain was born as Samuel L. Clemens. Mark Twain is renowned as one of the most influential writers in the English language and American author. He is often called “the father of the American literature.”
Mark Twain was also a successful short story writer with his first great work being The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County. He wrote more works but he is best known for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, which is the best-known works in children’s literature; and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is referred to as the Great American Novel.
