I have been looking for ways to help my children improve their spelling and vocabulary skills. They are older now, 9 and 13, but they can use some refreshers as well as opportunities to learn new words. It is great to teach kids spelling skills and build on their vocabulary early on in their home education.
What I love about homeschooling is that you can teach your children as much as they can take or as little as they need. Using an integrated approach to spelling (with reading and vocabulary) brings about a more intense learning experience that most kids can absorb better than we know. After all, learning how to properly spell creates a strong communicator.
