Special needs and birthday parties can give any mom anxiety. If your child has sensory issues you may be concerned about a birthday party being either overwhelming or causing sensory overload. Learn how to tackle these concerns to help your sensory kid actually enjoy their time.
Birthday parties don’t really have to bring us fear but can be smooth and fun for your loved one. Your poor child can go through so many obstacles like not being invited to parties because of the past reactions they have had to sensory overload or they can want a party but think no one will show up.
This may not mean much to some families but to others, it’s hurtful and deeply saddening for the children. Our hearts ache for them for being different, yet we love them just the way the Lord has made them. We want them to enjoy these fun times and thankfully there are some things we can do about it.
