I am so excited about this week’s giveaway! Up until recently, I never gave Physical Education much thought. Perhaps it was the nightmares from public school PE…stinking at sports & being the last picked, having to shower together, bullies, you know ~ THAT STUFF! As homeschoolers, we can really embrace this and not only get ourselves Wait! My kids play outside ALL the time! They run, and climb, and even Physical Education (PE) is structured physical activity that develops an organized mind and body for students. Many homeschool parents commonly mistake any physical activity for a PE class. Unfortunately, unstructured physical activity does not give a student the building blocks for proper fitness development. Activities like one day co-op play, Wii Fit or Wii sports and individual sports are not considered physical education because they do not comprehensively teach and manage physical fitness in students. I have been pouring over all of the articles on the Family Here are just a few benefits of structured physical eduation: Read more about how Physical Education improves a child’s school day. |
Maybe you think … I don’t need a Fitness/Physical Education Program for my homeschool. Take a look at this picture of Brain Activity after only 20 minutes of walking!
What do you think the brain activity will be after 30-45 minutes of a professionally planned physical education lesson? |
