Motherhood is a fulltime job – 24/7/365. When your kids cry out in the middle of the night, regardless of how tired you are, you jump up ready to go. When they’re grown and having “grown-up problems” you lend an ear. It’s what we do.
Most mothers also manage their entire household. From grocery shopping to meal planning/prep, to laundry to cleaning and much more. Add in homeschooling and you’ve got more than a 24/7 job on your hands.
I remember our first few years of homeschooling. They were exhilarating and exciting, but they were exhausting too. I was trying to keep track of everything, run everything, and do everything for my family. With younger children who can’t do all the cooking and cleaning, I was an exhausted mess every night.
Getting yourself and “life” organized is a great idea. No one can possibly remember all the things needed to run a household. Especially when you add in homeschooling and motherhood. Mothers have a million things running through their heads at all times, which means from time to time, things are going to be forgotten.
Using cheat sheets, organizational planners, and more will help you not forget the important things! Check out these free printables for Homeschool Moms to help you stay on track!
Meal Planning Helps
Meal planning is not only a great way to save money on grocery trips, but it can literally be a life saver too! We’ve all had nights where we come home from a busy day completely exhausted and then have to figure out dinner for the family. Sometimes it seems easier to just buy food out, which isn’t always in the budget.
But with a meal plan in place, you don’t have to! Figuring out meals on the fly can be stressful, which is where a meal plan comes in handy! If you’ve got a plan and all the ingredients already on hand, there’s no need to worry. Just put it together and go!
Each month we put together two meal plans for you – a regular meal plan with slow cooker meals two days a week and an Instant Pot meal plan where every day has a new IP recipe! Now, I don’t use my Instant Pot every day, nor do I like to cook every meal, so I mix the two and do what works for us. Check out these shopping lists to get you started!

Freezer & Pantry Inventory Printables
If you’re making meal plans, you will likely need some way to track your inventory. It makes grocery trips so much easier when you know what you already have. So using a freezer and pantry inventory is the perfect solution. I usually laminate mine and put them where it’s easy to mark what we’re out of as we use it.

Recipe Cards
If you’re like me, good recipes that the entire family loves are hard to come by. That’s when recipe cards come in handy. Sometimes I store them on the computer, but I do love tangible recipe cards too. I have some from my grandma’s and other family members that are full of memories more than just the good food. Chore Charts
If your kids are like most, chores are not the first thing they think of in the morning. Yet they need to be done. Chore Charts are a great way to keep your kids focused on what needs to be done around the house. They can also be a good motivator for extra privileges. For instance, not allowing electronics until chores are done.

Homeschool Planners & Goal Sheets
I have always been a planner. I love seeing everything color-coded and organized on my calendar. But I have never had a good planning process for our homeschool. At least not since we started homeschooling multiple children.
And since we unschool our younger children, I don’t really use a planner. However, our oldest is in high school now, so we do have to keep records. But if you’re in a state that requires a homeschool binder, maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed with all the forms and paperwork required. Here are some resources to help you get started!

Bible Studies & Reading Plans
Many homeschool families love to incorporate Bible time into their day. We like to have our kids just read through the Bible naturally, but some prefer to use a Bible Study or Reading Plan to keep them on track. Check out these Bible reading plans for Homeschool Moms!
