Have you ever been so far behind on your lesson plan schedule that you were embarrassed? Not that anyone would know, but IF they did they would just KNOW what a bad homeschool mom you were? Far enough to where you aren’t sure how you will re-coup? You may need to take a step back and know when you should let go of the lesson plan in your homeschool.

Lesson plans are fabulous. I love order and organization. I love having a plan then following it through. Without a lesson plan in my homeschool, I honestly wouldn’t be able to keep it together.

That being said, it also can be an instrument that will make you feel like a failure at times if you are not careful. If you are not careful, you can let the anxiety of following thee lesson plans to the “T” control you, instead of you allowing it to be an instrument that helps you.

Learn what to do when things don’t work out exactly how you set them forth to do. First, know it is OK. Then know to give yourself some grace and read about how when to know you can let go of your planning for a bit.
