GNN America is announcing a writing contest for homeschool students for its spring 2014 Website launch! Click here to read more!
Good News Now America is scheduled to launch in May, 2014. They are a homeschooling family of four in Arizona who desire to bless others with encouraging stories of hope in this world. Checkout their site to learn more!
From their website:
We encourage your children to expand their writing and research skills as they compose and share positive and encouraging Good News articles! Each entry must be completely the child’s own work (no outside editing or revising). We encourage students to study great journalists and writers and the methods of their techniques. We encourage parents and homeschool co-op leaders to use this contest as a time to study strong writing skills, and be blessed to find stories of Good News throughout the world.
Tips for submitting your article:
Keep looking UP! Watch for God in everyday life!
Use positive, encouraging, strong, and vibrant language that immediately draws you in, making you want to read more!
Good News articles will also stand out for having a unique topic. Don’t just be content with the first thing that comes to mind. A lot of the power of an article is wrapped up in the subject itself, so put some work and thought into deciding your subject. Draw from your own experience to give the judges a refreshing new look at the world.
Consult with your pastor or other ministry leaders for any Good News stories of miracles, answered prayer, missionaries, etc. The sky is the limit!
