This is the Fourth post in our Eric Carle Book series!

Eric Carle never ceases to amaze me. I picked up this book on sale for $5 at Kohls last year. When I brought it home I started reading it outloud to the kids and we were all cracking up. When you read this book you have to read it in the grouchiest, crabbiest voice ever! It will get smiles all around!

The book is great on it’s own, but there are so many great printables and activities to go with it:
Felt Board Characters or Puppets
Lapbook or Center Activity
Lots of Printables: Grouchy or Friendly? Word Bank and What happened?
Writing and Craftivity
Anticipation Guide, Animal Sizes and Lengths
Roll and Cover Math Center
Sequencing Activity
Making Connections Worksheet
Expressing Feelings
Bug/Insect Unit Study
Grouchy and Friendly Ladybug Puppet Craft

I especially love the idea of putting together a time unit study:
Ladybug Clock Game: To the Hour
Telling Time With the Grouchy Ladybug Lesson Plans
Time and Picture Worksheet
Grouchy Ladybug Telling Time Printable
Ladybug Clock Craft

Here is The Grouchy Ladybug Book and  an adorable stuffed animal that matches the book from Amazon:

The Grouchy Ladybug Paperback $7.19

The World of Eric Carle Grouchy Ladybug Bean Bag Toy $10.99
