Could you use some good, quality Christian videos (including Torchlighters) to stream in your home – FREE? RedeemTV has just launched, and I am so excited to share it with you! There are Tons of FREE Christian Streaming Videos, and more being added every day!
RedeemTV is the new online streaming service from Christian History Institute and Vision Video. They have Tons of FREE Christian Streaming Videos. There are currently more than 200 videos available, and they are only getting started! They launched last week in response to all the changes in our world, and just a fraction of their videos have been posted. Hundreds more are on the way!
There are so many ways to enjoy the videos on RedeemTV that I hardly know where to start!
Movies & Series
Your family can enjoy a movie together with RedeemTV. There are dramas, comedies (I’ve been so anxious to watch Heavens to Betsy!), films about heroes of the faith such as William Tyndale, and much more.
There is also an original detective series called Vindication that looks amazing!
I am a HUGE fan of Torchlighters, and you can watch a number of their episodes (including some of their newest releases) free on RedeemTV. There is also Bugtime Adventures, The Adventures of Carlos Caterpillar, and more.
Ryan Defrates: Secret Agent is a brand new original animated series by Vision Video and Christian History Institute.
Also streaming free on RedeemTV is the feature-length animated film The Pilgrim’s Progress. This is an extraordinary version of the classic story, and one I did not want to stop watching once I started.
A special kids series to watch this Easter season is The Witness Trilogy. It begins with God With Us (formerly called Jesus, He Lives Among Us) from The Voice of the Martyrs. It continues the New Testament story with The Messengers and To Every Nation.
Documentaries & Biographies
There are so many good documentaries and biographies on RedeemTV to watch. Your family can watch these specials and learn together about Corrie Ten Boom, St. Patrick, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, George MacDonald, John Hus, and many others.
Using RedeemTV in Your Homeschool
Not only can any of the documentaries or biographies be used in history lessons, and much of the site can be used for Bible study for a range of ages, there are some homeschool gems on the site I don’t want you to miss.
History of Christianity: This is a 3-hour series that goes through some of the most historic events in Christian history, from its beginning to the modern day.
People of Faith: Christianity in America: This is a 3-hour series that explores questions like, “Is America now or has it ever been a Christian Nation?” “What is the meaning of separation of church and state?” “How can the church be a faithful Gospel witness in a pluralistic society?” and more.
We the People: The Character of a Nation: This 3-hour series that explores American history largely through the eyes of America’s unsung heroes including Gouverneur Morris, Henry Knox, Patience Wright, Richard Allen, John Parker, Elizabeth Blackwell, Julia Ward Howe, Joseph Pierce, Alvin York, and many others.

Navajo Code Talkers of World War II: This 1-hour special highlights the service of these American war heroes.
World War I Military Chaplains: This 2-hour series focuses on the bravery and service of British military chaplains during World War II.
Selected titles, including Torchlighters, have study guides, worksheets, etc. available to download FREE. There are two ways you can find these downloads. As RedeemTV continues to add content to the site, you will fine them at the end of the video’s description, such as the study guide for Dr. Francis Schaeffer’s classic How Should We Then Live.
Because RedeemTV is brand new, they need time to get all their resources posted. So if you want to know if a title you want to watch has a downloadable guide, the best way to know right now is to jump over to Vision Video and bring up the video on their site. Scroll down the page to beneath the video trailer, and you’ll find tabs for “Description” and “Reviews.” If the video has additional resources, you’ll see a third tab labeled “Resources.” Click there to get your download. You can see how that looks with How Should We Then Live on Vision Video.
You can also find FREE downloads for the Torchlighters series at Torchlighters.org. Click on Resources-Curriculum.
Along with enjoying RedeemTV with your family, they would love for you to remember them in prayer. In just a week, their content has reached thousands of people in more than 100 countries around the world.
You can also share about RedeemTV with your friends and family who would enjoy these wonderful programs.
And, if you are interested, you can make a donation to help support the ministry of RedeemTV. A donation page is coming soon to their website. In the mean time, you can make a donation at ChristianHistoryInstitute.org.
Keep an eye out on RedeemTV for more titles, apps, and much more to come!
