As children grow, read and travel, they will come across lots of pictures and first-hand views of places that are very different to where they live. Some places may have more trees, others may have different wildlife and plants while others may be extremely wet compared to where they live. Children can learn more about these different places with these biomes flip books.
Biome Flip Books
There are many different types of biomes, with these flip books concentrating on eight of the major biomes:
- The Desert Biome
- The Savanna Biome
- The Marine Biome
- The Tundra Biome
- The Rainforest Biome
- The Wetlands Biome
- The Temperate Forest Biome
- The Taiga Biome
For each of the above biomes, there are two flip books, one is semi-blank which is great for older children to use to write their thoughts after researching each biome, or for younger children who can’t write well yet. They could use these books to explain what they have learnt through the use of drawings.
Each flipbook contains five pages plus a cover page. For the first page, children will write all about the location of the biome. The second page is for children to document the weather in that particular biome. There are also pages for children to write about the plants and animals that live in each of the biomes as well as a page for interesting facts children have learnt while studying each of these eight biomes.
Also included in the download, are two pages of informational sheets about each biome. These sheets can be used to complete the flip books, though to go into more depth, reading books and researching online is also recommended.
