At the start of each new year, we often sit back and reflect on what we could have done better in the previous year. Then we make new plans and set goals to do better in the coming year. Whether it be work-related, personal or about our health, it doesn’t hurt to evaluate our life as we move into the new year.
With a meal plan in place, you can not only save on your grocery bill, but you can also be more intentional with your meals. This is the key to not only making healthier choices but sticking to them as well. And if you need some meals to help warm you up this winter, check out these winter casserole recipes.
Start the year off right by putting a meal plan in place and sticking to it. I recommend trying it for a month just to see what happens. I think you’ll notice your grocery bill drop as well as the pounds if you stay diligent with your choices.
Healthy Food Options
If you’re making a goal to be more healthy in the new year, one way you can make sure to stick to your plan is by using a meal plan. Not only do meal plans take the hassle out of the dinner time crunch, but they can also help you stay on track and focused on being healthy.
We have quite a few KETO Recipes for all meals and Trim Healthy Mama meal roundups you can pick and choose your meals from if you’re looking for quick and easy meals. And if you need some extra ideas, you’ll want to check out these KETO Friendly salads that everyone in the family will love.
Choose from Two Meal Plans
The regular meal plan includes slow cooker meals on Sundays and Wednesdays, for a break in the kitchen or those busy days. There are a variety of soups to get you through those chilly nights as we welcome in some seasonal salads to break it up just a bit.
There is a variety of meats (fish, chicken, beef, pork) as well as soups and salads (on both plans) to keep the whole family happy. My hope each month is that you will find some new favorites to add to your own must-have rotation.
Or choose the Instant Pot Meal Plan. On this plan, I have included some delicious winter and festive meals with a variety of meats (fish, chicken, pork, beef), plus a few salads. Plus, the suggestions for breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and desserts at the bottom are all Instant Pot recipes!
As always, feel free to move any of the recipes around as needed to fit your family’s schedule. However, you can combine the two for more variety. And if you’d like to switch up some of the Slow Cooker Meals to an Instant Pot recipe, check out this Instant Pot beginners post for a great link to help!
