Sometimes as busy homeschooling moms, we just need to take a break and de-stress! Consistently giving our all to our marriage, kids, homeschooling, and homemaking can leave us feeling overworked and depleted. Often we just keep “pushing through” in order to accomplish all we have to do, no matter how stressed out we get. And believe me, we all have those times where we’re stressed out with the crazy, busy life we have.
Kathie has learned over 31 years of homeschooling their 8 kids, that it’s OK to take a break to de-stress now and then! Really, it is.
Not only is it OK, but I think it’s also important! If you keep pushing yourself when you are in need of a break, you will lose your joy. Lose your joy and everyone suffers. You won’t enjoy your children or your homeschooling. Everything will seem overwhelming, and you probably won’t be the loving mom you’d like to be. (Yes, I’m speaking from experience!)
So instead, I have found a better solution! Take some time to actually de-stress as a homeschool mom.
