Once addition and subtraction are mastered, multiplication is the next big math step that your child will need to learn. Multiplication is one of those things that you must know, and master to be able to have a strong foundation in math. It is also one of those things can be extremely frustrating for your children to learn, remember and understand. It can be frustrating to help them with as well!
One way to help your children learn their time tables is by skip counting. Skip counting can be a very helpful tool for those that learn well with songs or rote memorization. Memorization is key when it comes to learning and understanding multiplication. Repetition is also necessary to really drill the facts. If you have a child struggling with learning multiplication there are lots of free printables that can help with this.
We recently created an instant download: FREE Multiplication Practice with Superheroes – this unit will have your children playing with superheroes as they are working on their multiplication facts at the same time!
