One of my favorite childhood treats was always rice cereal treats. I love marshmallows and rice cereal treats were pretty much a staple in our home, so it just makes sense to put them together. My mom would often make them for after school treats and snacks.
Now that I’m a mom, I totally understand her obsession with these treats. They are the perfect mixture of sweet and crunchy. Not to mention how simple they really are to make. It literally takes no time at all to whip up a batch of these ooey-gooey treats.
A couple of years ago, I came across some pumpkin spice marshmallow that I just knew would be amazing with the rice cereal. And I was right. Those were the most amazing treats. My kids loved them and devoured them in no time. They were gone in a matter of minutes because we couldn’t quit eating them!
I don’t know why, but fall always makes me think of making them again. So I decided to see how many different recipes I could find. Turns out there are a plethora of different combinations to make these sweet treats. In fact, I’m pretty sure I could make a different recipe every week for an entire year!
