We have the privilege of teaching and discipling our children in the ways of the Lord. One way to teach them is by helping them study the Bible to get to know God’s love, character and nature for themselves.

But how do we begin doing this?

A checklist or a guide is often times a helpful resource. This is a way to start making sure all the areas are covered and that we haven’t missed anything. It can also be handy in forming good habits.

Children are learning what it means to form good habits and create disciplines, and a Bible study guide for kids is the perfect tool to begin with!

About This Guide

This simple guide walks your kids through 7 steps of studying the Bible.

It’s recommended that you walk through this guide with your kids a few times before you ask them to go about it independently. And when they (and you) are ready to let them give-it-a-go on their own, see what the Lord would show them.

What Might Happen

The Lord is looking and longing to show Himself strong to your kids. He wants to reveal Truth to them so that they will not be swayed when it comes to the things of this world and the lust of the flesh. Instead, they will be so confident of who Christ is in them, and who they are in Christ that they will walk with humility displaying the very nature of God to others. Isn’t that magnificent to think about? Isn’t that why we pray for our children?

But, this comes with devotion. It comes when there’s a lifestyle that’s formed from discipline and initially by habit. Our children can have this lifestyle of walking with the Lord knowing His ways intimately, and it all starts with the seed of sowing a habit in your children where they can sit with God, reading and studying His Word.
