My kids are all about this FREE mushroom unit study, but not me. Apparently, September is National Mushroom Month. Yes, mushrooms have their own month. This is a fall unit study that “most” families will enjoy. Can you hear the excitement from there?
I will be the first to admit that I do NOT like mushrooms. Just the look of them gives me the willies. I know. I know. I am crazy. I am the only one who feels this way in my home. The rest of my family loves mushrooms. They are not grossed out, at all.
All I can think about when I think of mushrooms is those that grow out of the trees. BUT guess what? My family loves them and I still cook them for my family. AND yes, I will be doing this unit study because my kids think it’s awesome. Yay, me!
Enjoy this fall unit study with your kiddos to learn all about mushrooms. This resource includes learning experiences with books, nature walks, videos, hands-on activities, and even recipes.
