Who is tired of stepping on plastic building blocks on the floor? Sometimes I feel like my kids leave them on the floor on purpose, to get me back for making them do chores or something. I know my kids will enjoy this idea – and not really know that I plan to put away the hard building blocks for a while. Explore using paper building blocks instead of the plastic blocks.
When the plastic blocks started migrating to the floor in my office, I had to draw the line. I am like, “NO!” Often times I work really, late at night in my office, I stepped on plastic building blocks twice and no one was around. I dropped straight to the floor every time. I can laugh now, but I guess other moms can relate.
This idea, I bet, will make many moms happy as it did me. This cool activity uses heavy-duty paper that can be stacked and knocked over many times over for kids to use. Your young learners will be able to learn hand and eye coordination as well.
You will need the following supplies to make the paper building blocks for kids:
- Supplies
- Thick cardstock paper
- Tape
- paper cutter
- Ruler
- Cutting mat
You can use these paper building blocks when learning about triangles!
