Sometimes it is hard for us to get away from home in the summer. As much as we would like to go on summer adventures every week, it just isn’t always feasible. That will cause us to get a little creative when it comes to homeschooling or just to keep your kids active during the long summer days. Creating a summer nature table for your children can be a really cool way for them to learn and have fun in the summertime at home.
We can’t make summer exciting every day. It just won’t happen. Family members get sick, the budget is too tight, moms work from home, bad weather, and more. All of these – and other happenings of life – make it hard to full up your days with activities outside the home.
There truly is an awesome thing to have your kids be able to learn and have fun right from your home. This summer nature table fun will help your children explore and enjoy nature even without leaving the property.
A summer nature table is a table in your home or even in your yard, where kids can explore a display of natural or handmade things. Here is a list of things that you can have on the table that might just be laying around in your home or outside the house/apartment:
- several flowers
- a pair of scissors
- a small vase
- a magnifying glass
- and any basket of things found in nature
