Do you have a lefty at home? My oldest daughter is a lefty and my older sister is a lefty. They really think they are something special because of it. Ha! I just play along because I love them. They tell me of the struggles they had being lefties in school and how they had to adjust to make things work for them well. Do you have a child that wants to do everything with their left hand? I think it’s pretty cool. Although it isn’t all bells and whistles. When the world and its inventions seem to be created with right-handed people in mind, things can get a little tricky.

From holding utensils to office supplies, the struggle is real. Many kids are made to do things with their right hand in public school. We have the freedom in homeschool to help our children and see this as a cool feature rather than a flaw. I have heard of stories where teachers force kids to not use their left hand. That really saddens me.
