I could not figure out, for the life of me, why there were so many rubber bands around my home. I figured it out the hard way, but the rubber bands were everywhere. If you have rubber bands around your house that you don’t know what to do with, then use them for this super fun rubber band painting activity that your kids will enjoy.
Want to know why there were rubber bands all over the house? Oh and how I found out? I will tell you how I found out first. One day I was called outside to the front porch from cooking. Well, I wasn’t too happy I had to leave my Bolognese simmering on low to see why my kids needed me – and why they couldn’t just come to me instead of me go to them.
Once I swung that screen door open, I was attacked. It was a rainbow rubber band attack from my two kids and husband. As I was chased down the hallway feeling pings of rubber bands glazing me and plucking my back it was war. Not really war, I was ambushed. I couldn’t help but laugh and scream at the same time.
Apparently, my husband had been making himself and my kids’ rubber band guns with PVC pipes and they decided to use me as a guinea pig. Thankfully, I have not been ambushed since and they gladly attack each other after I threaten their lives if they EVER shoot me with those things again.
I am glad to share this awesome art activity to do with your kids should you need to use up those rubber bands before your husband and kids have any grand ideas for their own use.
