I am not a clean freak, it’s impossible with a bunch of kids and pets in a busy household. There are a lot of things I let go and don’t stress about. I do however love to be organized with my books and school supplies. Homeschool Organization is a key to a peaceful home for this mama!
Summer is my favorite time to get organized. We aren’t as busy with the extra curricular school activities, or co-op classes. We take some time off from school and our days are more free and relaxed. This is when I drag out a big portable table and we pile all of the past school year’s work onto the table. Then we start sorting, purging and organizing. We clean out our bookshelves, mark things to sell or donate, and make room for more lovely school supplies and curriculum!
I like to take the summer to do this, because it can take us weeks. With multiple children homeschooling we collect a lot of stuff! If you come to my house in the summer time you will most likely see huge piles of books and papers in piles. There are currently piles in my living room, the floor of my bedroom and in the school area. It usually looks like this until about a week before we are ready to begin school!
Do you struggle with being organized? Maybe it’s just a little overwhelming because there is so much stuff and you aren’t sure where to begin? Have no fear! I have put together a list of FREE Homeschool Organization Resources to inspire you and help you to get started. There are free printables, and articles to help you out.
