Have you desired to see a change in your homeschool, but don’t know what to do? Are you beginning the adventure of homeschooling and feel overwhelmed about where to start? Maybe you’d like to be more intentional with your homeschool endeavours. Or perhaps, you’d like to see all of the above.
Whatever your desire is, prayer is essential in it all.
Homeschooling really does involve a lot:
- curriculum research and choices
- homeschool planning and recording
- dealing with character in your kids and yourself
- meals, co-ops and field trips
- and so much more!
Often we involve the Lord in our lives when we’re at the end of our rope not knowing what to do or how to do it. We try to balance it all, but instead we just get burned out.
But what would happen if we changed that?
What would happen if we recognized that the Lord wants to be involved in our homeschool endeavours and in fact, cares about everything regarding His call on your life to homeschool your kids.
The Lord wants to help you. He wants to lead and guide your every step. But He needs you to trust in Him, lean on Him, acknowledge Him and surrender your homeschool to Him and one way we can do that is through prayer.
Why Should We Pray About Our Homeschool?
The Lord knows what’s ahead in your future and your children’s future
In fact, if our Father knows the end from the beginning, you will want Him to lead your homeschool because He sees things that you don’t.
We only know so little about what’s ahead in the future.
We try to plan and be prepared, but really at the end of the day, we don’t know what will happen, but the Lord does. He knows everything. He knows what you’ll be encountering in the year ahead, so if we yield our homeschool to the Lord, there’s no better place to be.
He knows your children and what they need
The Lord knows your children better than you do.
Your children are in constant development and growth whether that be mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. And they are here on this earth because the Lord has a calling, destiny and purpose on their lives.
Sometimes the hardest things to let go of are the way we think things should go. It can be scary at times, especially when it comes to our kids.
So it’s important to seek the Lord’s heart and wisdom through prayer concerning you, your spouse, your children, education, finances, character development, mindsets and the future.
How We Can Pray About Our Homeschool
