I love that homeschool can be as simple or as comprehensive as we want it to be. If your family is like mine then they love doing nature studies, simple or not. They can, however, take some time. Taking a long chunk of time may deter families from doing nature studies. Thankfully, The Usual Mayhem has put together a list of 10 ways to study nature in 10 minutes or less.
I love this idea. It is so healthy to get our children out in the fresh air as much as possible. These 10-minute nature studies can be added to almost any day’s schedule with ease.
Each of the 10 nature studies can be done super quickly and with extremely minimal prep work. My favorite nature study on the list is the “hand over the camera” activity. I love to see pictures that my children take.
The use of technology all around has really helped some kids get crafty with the camera. Get that craftiness with the camera to focus on a nature study this time. You will be surprised at the stories kids can tell with their camera of the world around us.
