Sometimes I wonder how we even make it as homeschool moms. Add anything to your load at home and forget it, you are straight on #mommode with no real explanation for how you handle it all. Think for a moment of the moms who are battling a chronic illness on top of it all. They are warriors, no doubt about it.
I have been sick for about three weeks out of this month and I felt defeated. When I think of moms out there that homeschool and fight through chronic illness, it just seems as if moms really have some kind of superpower to get through it all. It seems impossible, but yet they do it. Day in and day out they fight through it.
I know a mom recently diagnosed with cancer who homeschools her children. How she finds the energy I don’t know. Without Christ, I wonder how people get through trials, let alone knowing they are faced with an illness that won’t go away.
The Lord has been called so many names in the Bible. They are extremely powerful to think about. He is called our healer and comforter. However, that may not look at how “we” or the world may think that looks.
Above it all, He is sovereign. Maybe that is where we are brought our comfort or when we start our healing – His perfect sovereignty. If you or someone you know is battling a chronic illness while homeschooling, know you are being prayed for by people who don’t even know you yet call you brother or sister in Christ.
